Bells

January 2002

The church bells have been completely restored and are in full working order

The inaugural ringing has taken place - the first time they have been rung properly for over 100 years

A new electronic clock has been installed which allows the bells to chime the hour. Currently set to ring between 7am and 10pm, they remind the village of the historical importance of timekeeping.

30 May 2002

A service was held to bless the bells. Attended by the Bishop of Ely and over a hundred villagers, bell ringers, restoration team, and friends. A reception was held in the Village Hall afterwards.
